“Patty is the best!” - After reading reviews we stopped by the see what all the raves were about we were immediately welcomed by Patty. Jenny "J Lo " was close by waiting on us with perfection , sweet beautiful Dominican girl. The food was awesome and so reasonable. We stopped by 3 times in our 1week visit and were never disappointed. Kelly, Patty's main man was equally welcoming and provided us with a map of Sosua, he must have read our mind. We met several local "transplanted Canadians" all very nice a friendly, Bambi the resident street dog kept the little mischievous street children at bay! Lol. After an afternoon of Cuba libres , Patty was kind enough to give a a ride to our hotel on her golf cart! all around an experience we will remember for ever. Thanks Patty,Kelly and J lo.

“The only place to be in Sosua!” - What can I say, Patty, Kelly the girls make the Jolly a great place to be any time of the day any day of the week.
They put a lot of hard work into running and organising events and it really shows. Most bars in and around Sousa are very quiet but not the Jolly.
Great music, friendly staff and Fresh tasty food.
Go there if you want a really good night out.

“Fantastic people” - The owners of the Jolly Roger (Patty and Kelly) are fantastic people. The atmosphere is out of this world. Can not wait to get back to the Dominican Republic so we can spend some good times at the Jolly Roger.

“Halloween party!” - The Jolly Roger is always one of my first stops and one of my last stops while on vacation. It's also many stops in between as they always have something going on (bingo, Foosball night, Halloween party, charity events, etc, etc)
This year's Halloween party was fantastic ... the place was packed full of great people having a blast. The music was good and current, keeping people in a great mood. The staff was unreal, even though it was packed, I never waited for a drink. The number of staff shouldn't have been able to keep up with that many people, but they sure did!
I can't wait til my next visit to the DR and many more return visits to the Jolly Roger!

“Best Pirate Bar I Know...” - I was lucky enough to find this bar on my first night of 4 in Sosua. I ended up in there every night after that. Kelly and Patty (the owners) were amazing hosts and their staff are all great, the food was good, the prices were amazing.
It is a bar that seems to draw in the ex-pat crowd, so I was able to meet a very interesting cast of characters. They were all very friendly and added to the overall experience.
We were welcomed as regulars, and now the only question is when am I going to go back?
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sosua. I know it is both fun and safe. My friend actually dropped cash on the way into the bar, and Kelly noticed, picked it up before anyone else could, and gave it back to him right away.

"A GREAT PLACE!"
Was in Sosua in March for three weeks and visited this pub numerous times for karaoke, darts, food and drinks, and conversation. Great owners, great staff, good patrons and solid value. Highly rated and recommended.

Great spot recommend everyone stops there great staff and lots of locals plus vacation people there was only 5 minute walk from resort drinks are cheap laughter is free.
